We are a group of people who believe that the Earth is our Garden and we must tend to it for the benefit of Humanity!
Yes, we could quote religious or historical writings which allude to this fact, but the logic is undeniable. The Earth's land mass is approximately 57,268,900 square miles. With 640 acres per square mile, this amounts to over 36 billion (36,652,096,000) acres of land. The most amazing fact is that edible plants are found across it, except in the coldest and most arid regions. Even in the desert, plants give us their life sustaining fruits.
An average person eats about 1200 lbs. of food per year.
In a good year, apple trees produce approximately 25,000 lbs. of apples per acre.
If an acre of apples could feed 20 people for an entire year, just think about how many people could be fed if we all just planted one fruit, citrus or nut tree.
Don't just plant a tree, plant a tree to feed a human!
